SUMMARY:Meditation Breaks in southern France
DESCRIPTION:Taking time out to recharge your batteries at your own pace.\nMeditation breaks are moments for yourself\, to take a break and find your inner peace. \nMeditation is at the heart of meditation breaks. Open to all\, they give you the chance to learn or deepen your understanding of this practice in the tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. We offer two group sessions a day\, guided by experienced instructors\, and have a temple room\, including a library and media centre\, at your disposal. \nOn a 140-hectare site in the heart of the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park\, Lerab Ling’s environment offers us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in unspoilt nature and to enjoy a spiritual place of calm and serenity. \nThe site inspires rest\, discovery and renewal\, and is conducive to outdoor meditation and nature walks\, with many hiking trails. \nThese retreats are primarily held in French but all our teachers speak fluent English.

SUMMARY:Discovering Inner Freedom: A Three-Part Course Series
DESCRIPTION:Are you searching for answers to life’s deeper questions wondering why you suffer\, whether there’s another way to live\, or how to find more peace\, purpose\, and resilience? If so\, you’re not alone. These are the questions that have always drawn people to the Buddhist path and they’re the questions at the heart of this three-part series. What if turning inward\, honestly examining our restlessness and the mental patterns that keep us stuck could be the first step toward something genuinely different? \nEach course can be entered into on its own\, in any order\, yet together the three courses form a single\, unfolding journey. The courses are open and presented in an inclusive way that prior knowledge or background is not required\, just an open mind and a genuine curiosity about your own experience. Each course unfolds through open conversation\, discussion\, and shared meditation practice so you’ll be learning not just from the teachings\, but from each other. \nCourse 1: Turning Inward\nSeptember 15 – November 10\, 2026 \nCourse 2: Opening the Path\nWinter (USA) 2027 \nCourse 3: Seeing Clearly\nSpring (USA) 2027

SUMMARY:Finding Unshakeable Certainty
DESCRIPTION:DZOGCHEN BEARA: Weekend Teachings with Khenpo Tashi \nHighlights from the Beacon of Certainty by Mipham Rinpoche \nWhat is our practice actually built on? \nMany of us have spent years on the path: meditating\, deepening compassion\, engaging in Vajrayana practice\, receiving profound teachings that have inspired and transformed us. Yet at a certain point\, questions like this begin to arise. What are we truly recognizing in meditation? How do we distinguish genuine understanding from concepts\, experiences\, or passing states? \nThe great masters of the Nyingma tradition understood that these questions cannot be answered through faith alone. They require investigation\, reflection\, and a View that becomes clear through our own experience. \nFor these teachings\, Khenpo Tashi draws on selected highlights from The Beacon of Certainty by Mipham Rinpoche\, a profound text of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Structured around essential questions of view and meditation\, the text guides practitioners with remarkable precision through the relationship between appearance and emptiness\, analysis and direct experience\, understanding and realization. \nDeeply grounded in the lineage of Longchenpa and Mipham Rinpoche\, Khenpo Tashi has a rare ability to make these teachings feel immediate and alive\, revealing how they relate directly to our own path and experience. \nThese teachings are open to all practitioners with a grounding in meditation and Lojong. \nThe retreat\, held in the new Dzogchen Beara temple\, will include periods of silence including during tea breaks and some meal times. \nThese teachings will be offered in Tibetan with live English translation by Rigpa Senior Teacher Damien van Effenterre.
