Making the time we have left precious

We are about to move into the next phase of the training in bodhichitta: making bodhichitta “never decline where it has arisen, but go on increasing further and further”. During this sangha day we will be invited to appreciate the progress we have already made with our practice and study of bodhichitta, by recalling the key points about making bodhichitta arise within our being.
Our inherent capacity for limitless love, compassion, joy, and equanimity lies at the core of the compassionate heart and enlightened mind. However, as the truth of impermanence constantly reminds us, whilst the qualities of bodhichitta may be limitless, the time that remains to us in this life is finite. How can we make the best use of the time left to us and bring as much benefit as possible to ourselves and others? We are going to explore this question within the framework of what could well prove to be an eye-opening, challenging but fun exercise. Don’t forget to bring a pen and a few sheets of paper!
