The Making of a Tibetan Stupa

When a great teacher dies, it is customary to build a stupa where he or she has been cremated. Sogyal Rinpoche was cremated in Tashiding (Sikkim) and in early 2023 a stupa was constructed in his memory, right beside the stupa of his beloved teacher Jamyang Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö.

This short documentary, filmed on location in Tashiding by Volker Dencks, takes us each step of the journey of building and consecrating this holy monument.
