Remembering His Holiness Dudjom Sangye Pema Shepa Rinpoche

It came as a great shock to all, to hear that His Holiness Dudjom Sangye Pema Shepa Rinpoche entered parinirvana on the 14th day of the 12th month of the Tibetan Iron Ox year, 15 February, 2022. His Holiness was the young incarnation (and grandson) of Dudjom Rinpoche, Jikdral Yeshe Dorje. Born in 1990, he was recognised by numerous lamas as the incarnation of the previous Dudjom Rinpoche, including by Kyabjé Chatral Rinpoche who meticulously guided his dharma education and training.

An Update on the Restorative Process

In February 2020, Rigpa’s Vision Board members initiated a restorative process so they could hear directly from those who have been hurt in their relationship with Sogyal Rinpoche and were not supported at the time by Rigpa. The members of the Vision Board are renewing their deep and heartfelt apology and wish to make amends for past mistakes and hurt. Anyone who wishes to take part or request a restorative action is encouraged to do so.
