Losar Message for the Rigpa Sangha: Year of the Water Tiger
from the Vision Board
Entering into the new Tibetan year, we send our love and best wishes to everyone in the Rigpa community. May this new year bring strength, courage and ease to us all and to the world at large! We pray strongly that this year we will meet in person again, in Lerab Ling, Dzogchen Beara, and Rigpa centres all around the world.
In the last couple of months, we have been struck by the loss of some of the greatest teachers of ours times: Kyabjé Dodrupchen Rinpoche, Kyabjé Dudjom Sangye Pema Shepa Rinpoche, Sopon-la Dorzin Rinpoche Ngawang Choephel Gyatso, and Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh.
We will never forget their living example, their great kindness and priceless contributions to the Buddha Dharma as we study and practice their teachings and revelations. And we are deeply indebted to Sogyal Rinpoche who connected us with these great masters.
In a mark of respect for these great masters who have recently entered parinirvana, according to the Nyingma tradition, Rigpa will not be holding Losar celebrations this year.
