The Joyful Events that Opened the Dzogchen Beara Temple

The first gatherings and events in the new Dzogchen Beara Temple in July were an immense celebration of a long, beautiful journey and were filled with love, auspiciousness and joy. The occasion was shared with the local Beara community, supporters, and the international Rigpa Sangha, and was blessed by the presence of one of the longest supporters of Dzogchen Beara, Ringu Tulku Rinpoche.

Recently, Khenchen Namdrol Rinpoche and his monks and nuns conducted a one-week Shitro puja (a practice of the 100,000 paceful and wrathful detities) which is an especially powerful practice for those who have died. It came as a great shock to all, to hear that His Holiness Dudjom Sangye Pema Shepa Rinpoche entered parinirvana on the 14th day of the 12th month of the Tibetan Iron Ox year, 15 February, 2022. His Holiness was the young incarnation (and grandson) of Dudjom Rinpoche, Jikdral Yeshe Dorje. Born in 1990, he was recognised by numerous lamas as the incarnation of the previous Dudjom Rinpoche, including by Kyabjé Chatral Rinpoche who meticulously guided his dharma education and training.
